Transmosis Partners with Employ Prince George’s Maryland to expand local Cybersecurity Workforce

Program Now Accepting Applicants for Training Scholarships

Transmosis, a nationally recognized cybersecurity workforce developer, today announced it is offering fully subsidized cybersecurity training and certification to a select number of Prince George County residents in a bid to address the state’s shortage of skilled cybersecurity workers. Transmosis will expand its Cybersecurity Analyst Training program in offering unemployed and underemployed Prince George County residents the opportunity to apply for and receive advanced industry driven IT and cybersecurity training and certification.

Founded in June 2018, Employ Prince George’s, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Largo, Maryland. Employ Prince George’s is an economic driver Prince George’s County and the DC Metropolitan Region, providing nationally recognized community and workforce development programming. Employ Prince George’s serves as the principal workforce development entity for Prince George’s County, with a mission to improve the local economy by creating a demand-driven workforce system with workforce development programs that deliver qualified workers to businesses, improves the productivity of businesses, and provides job seekers with opportunities for careers in high demand/high growth industries.

Previous Transmosis graduates have successfully become Security Operations Center Analysts, Cybersecurity Analysts, Threat Intelligence Analysts, Vulnerability Analysts, Information Security Analysts, IT Security Analysts, Cyber Threat Analysts, and Security Administrators. Transmosis grants target cybersecurity talent among underrepresented groups, the unemployed, underemployed, veterans, and youth with graduates working at some of the world’s top companies including Google, Facebook, Cisco, Checkpoint, and leading startups.

Transmosis will provide successful Prince George County applicants with full training scholarships that will drive to high paying cybersecurity careers.
